Shane Long-Why he should stay at Reading

Last season, Shane Long scored 21 league goals for Reading, three goals in domestic cup competitions and a further two on the international stage, taking his overall tally to 26. It should not come as any great surprise then that he has already been the subject of repeated overtures from Liverpool, Everton and Celtic, with the former apparently willing to offer as much as 15 million for the signature of the talented Irishman. I think not, and I think deep down Long knows this as well.  Therefore, it would in my opinion be a serious and po sibly fatal mistake if this promising, extremely talented individual was to leave Reading and head to Merseyside or Glasgow. He is too hot and exciting a prospect to spend the next few years warming a bench, when he could be entertaining and wowing crowds all over the Championship.
